Burt, NY – Six wines from Black Willow Winery’s cellars were awarded at the 2015 International Eastern Wine Competition. Established in 1975, The International Eastern Wine Competition (IEWC) is one of the oldest and largest professional wine competitions in the United States.
Black Willow Winery’s DePeche Meow was the big winner for this event as it was awarded both the prestigious Best In Class and Double Gold awards. DePeche Meow is a sweet peach wine with fresh picked peach and floral aromas, sumptuous fruit flavor, and a smooth refreshing finish.
Two Silver medals were also granted to both Trilogy Red and Chardonnay. Rounding off the awards list with Bronze medals were Black Willow Winery’s Odin’s Nectar, a traditional honey mead, Bare Cat Blush and Riesling.
