Niagara County, NY – The Niagara Wine Trail is pleased to announce Black Willow Winery’s recent awards from the Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Black Willow Winery submitted two offerings, both of which received high rankings and favorable reviews.
The first offering reviewed was “Odin’s Nectar,” a traditional honey wine or mead, which pairs well with spicy Buffalo wings, chicken cordon bleu, Ethiopian, and Thai dishes or cheeses with mild buttery flavors. The judges were highly impressed and awarded “Odin’s Nectar” 90 points, Gold Medal and a Best Buy rating.
Black Willow Winery’s second offering was “Black Widow Berry,” a sweet concord grape wine infused with natural blackberry. The Beverage Testing Institute rated “Black Widow Berry” at 82 points and a Bronze Medal.
